Love is Like Satin

One of my subjects once told me that he likes satin. I was so happy to hear that as I actually like satin very much.

As I recall the memories from those days now, I realise that there is a lot of common between the love and the satin. I could even say that Love is like satin.

Why I make this association?

It’s true that the satin like the love feels amazing on touch, wanted, even beautiful. But not the feel on the body is the main reason for me to make the reference that the love is so similar to the satin.

As the love exists thanks to few factors, to make a satin needs few elements to be utilised too.

According to Marc Jacobs, satin is one of the three major textile weaves. Satin is not a fabric. To make satin requires two components. The main one is the so-called Satin weave and the second one is the material (the fabric).

Satin weave is nothing else but a weaving technique. If you don’t utilise this technique, you will not be able to get as an end result satin. If you don’t use this method the end result will be anything else but satin.

If you think about this, you will realise that the love is absolutely the same thing. You may not know the technique how to make love, but you can always learn only if you want. And usually when the love is strong and true the “Satin weave” of the love grabs you and you don’t require a lot of effort to realise that this is the right wave and the right way to do it.

As mentioned above, to make a satin you need a second element, the fabric. And here comes the interesting fact. Satin can be produced from different fibres. Long ago, satin was made from silk only. Nowadays, satins are made not only from silk. They can be produced using materials such as polyester and rayon.

You may call me old-fashioned, but I like only satin from silk and a velvet touch. I will not distract you with the velvet now as it is another topic, similar to the satin.

The best quality satin is produced with silk. Old school but amazing result. The satin produced with nylon or polyester just looks shiny but feels falsely.

Satin is really like the love. You may get the technique but when you look for a silk satin and you realise that it may be a polyester one it hearts, it hearts a lot.

For me, only the silk satin is like the real love. A lot of people like the polyester one. There is nothing wrong with this, but this is not the true love and not a silk satin.
